Swimming Lessons

Jacki and I signed the kiddos up for swimming lessons at Barlow High School the end of July.

Soy was pretty excited!

Sawyer and Quinn

They would stand on these platforms that would allow them to have their bodies above the water. This is the shallow end, but it is still 4 feet deep. So, of course, on the very first day Sawyer accidentally falls of the edge. Luckily the instructor was on her way back with another kiddo, so I just yelled her name and she grabbed him quick. He spent the rest of the lesson so sad and would cry every time it was his turn. Fortunately, it didn't scare him too much and he got much better every day and even now since they have ended, he has been putting his head under the water and will jump off the edge of the pool by himself.

At the end of the lesson each day, they could choose from a starfish or a mermaid activity. Sawyer said those were "for girls", so here is teacher Page doing a helicopter just for Soy!

Finn wasn't too impressed....

Grandma came to watch on their last day...

All done!!
